Amazon is reportedly working on a home security service that involves drone technology. It has won patent approval on “home surveillance” drones, according to an NPR report.
It may also include drone delivery as well. Once an item is delivered the same drone can conduct a safety check of the premises, according to the report, and alert a customer of any issues regarding home safety.
“An alert may be provided to multiple recipients, such as a service provider (such as a security provider), an operator, a user, or a municipal entity such [as] a police or fire department,” the patent materials stated, according to the report.
