Drone helps lead Murrysville police to suspects following crash

Murrysville police have charged two men following a crash early Monday morning along State Route 22.

Police said the two suspects were in a stolen vehicle with a big screen television in the backseat that police believe may also have been stolen. The crash happened just after 4 a.m. and police said the two suspects fled into the woods nearby.

Murrysville police utilized its drone, equipped with an infrared camera to track the suspects.

Zymire Wilson, 19, and Michael Lipovsik, 20, are now facing charges. Murrysville police said both suspects also had warrants out for their arrests. Lipovsik was taken to the hospital following his arrest for treatment. Wilson is in the Westmoreland County jail without bail.
