Police locate elderly man who went missing in Toronto’s west end

Toronto police have located an elderly man who went missing Thursday night amid frigid temperatures in the city’s west end.

Alber Marbena, 74, a Peel Region resident, has been found safe and sound, Const. David Hopkinson told CBC News.

Marbena had last been seen in the Humberline Drive and Finch Avenue West area, with police saying they were “very concerned” for his safety.

Marbena’s son, Angelo Zea, told reporters at a command post set up in the area Friday evening that his father suffers from Alzheimer’s and had been found in the area before.

‘It’s my dad’

This time, no one was home when he ventured out, he said.
