A police helicopter and drones were deployed after a car crashed into a tree, it has been revealed.
Officers also attended the scene after the vehicle was found smashed up on the B6403 at High Dyke close to RAF Barkston Heath yesterday, Wednesday, January 2.
Pictures from the scene show the car to have sustained considerable damage, including a smashed windscreen where the vehicle appears to have collided with a tree.
The crash was not reported claims the force so a chopper and a drones as well as thermal technology were deployed to try and find anyone who may have been in the car at the time.
The runway at RAF Coningsby was not operational at the time the drones were sent up and the two authorities’ liaised through the process.
