Dauphin County officials Thursday unveiled the county’s new drone that will be available for police to use with investigations, searches, and evidence gathering.
Officials held a demonstration of how the machine works in Fort Hunter Park, showing that it is capable of normal and thermal imaging.
Officials began using the drone in April once a policy was in place and personnel were trained to use it. It has since been used in a total of 13 investigations.
Following the demonstration, county officials provided video footage of its flight.
