A Chicago man faces misdemeanor criminal charges after a drone flew suspiciously close to a residential high rise building, according to CBS 2 Chicago.
The first observation of the drone was made by a 52-year-old woman who found it flying outside of the 42nd floor of the residential building at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, according to CBS 2.
The device was equipped with a camera and “hovered” in the vicinity for a extended period of time, police say. This came without consent from building management.
When the drone landed on the third floor of the high rise, Amit Kleiman, 31, allegedly attempted to recover it.
He was then taken into custody, where he was charged with one count each of criminal trespass, reckless conduct and breach of peace.
